The birth of a child is one of the most important moments in a parents life. Yet some parents-to-be don't take advantage of childbirth education classes.  Moms may think, “I’m getting an epidural, why do I need a class?”, or “A friend recommended a great book/website which will be enough for me,” or “My partner doesn’t want to go" ...

By the way - did you know most hospitals prefer moms to be in active labor before they get an epidural? That means that at a minimum, moms and partners need to know what active labor is (among other things) and how to cope with labor up to that point.

Parents-to-be should have the education to make informed decisions about their birth. Partners need to learn how best to support expecting moms - and to speak up in the hospital as needed. To name just a few of the benefits, our Childbirth Prep Class:

Our non-hospital setting drives the most objective teaching, as instructors are not influenced by hospital policy.  Your OB visits come and go pretty fast, so this class is a great forum to cover the unknown and enhance your confidence about this exciting moment in life.
