Free Mini Demo Class - Summer Soulstice - Saturday 6/21/25 - 12 noon

Class overview:
Each week in Music Together® Mixed-Age Classes, babies over 6 months, toddlers, preschoolers, and the grownups who love them®, gather for 45 minutes of fun-filled family music time. Your teacher will lead you and the other families in music activities ranging from lullabies to full-on jam sessions (with child-friendly instruments, of course). Our research-based music classes are designed to be non-formal and non-performance oriented, so your child can learn at his or her own pace, in a way that’s developmentally appropriate.

To enhance your class experience, you’ll receive the award-winning music used in class, along with an illustrated songbook and other resources. As you discover new ways to play with music all week long, you’ll be supporting your child’s music-learning and overall development---even if you don’t think of yourself as a great singer or dancer. It’s so much fun you won’t realize how much learning is taking place!

Class pricing includes five 45-minute classes plus all registered families get an illustrated songbook, exclusive music w/ download code or CD and additional Music Together reading materials.

Teacher bio:

Music Together Classes

Amy Gumenick (director/ teacher)  was first introduced to Music Together when attending as a guest with her nephews (now 11 and 14!) Cut to a decade later, when she became a Mom and found herself doing at home "music classes" with her own baby boy (Covid babies forced us all to get creative!) After several months of improvising, Amy decided to dive deeper and take the Music Together teacher training course where fell in-love with the music, philosophy and strong focus on child psychology/ development. What began as a hobby, became a career, as Amy was certified to teach and open her own center: Music Together of the Westside.

A Westside LA native, Amy grew up in the competitive dance and theater world, where she discovered her love for performance at a very early age. Though the performing arts were constant in her upbringing, she formally cultivated her passion for acting at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she earned a BFA in theater, graduating with honors and distinction. In tandem with her career as an actor, Amy has taught dance, acting and music to kids ages 0-18 for over 2 decades. Additionally, she works with various non profit organizations, bringing the arts to children in need. She believes strongly in the transformative power of music and cannot wait to create with you and your family!
