Did you know that Tummy Time is one of the most important things you can do to help your baby meet his or her developmental milestones?

Did you know tummy time helps with feeding (breast and bottle!), self-soothing and hand eye coordination?

Join us for Tummies Together, a unique class addressing the needs of both Mama and during the postpartum period. Tummies Together is taught by a team of Physical and Occupational therapists and provides comprehensive support for postpartum strengthening along with infant motor and sensory development.

We will review and practice easy to follow exercises that Mom can squeeze into a busy schedule at home with baby to help heal and strengthen after pregnancy and delivery. Moms will simultaneously learn how to facilitate successful and age appropriate tummy time techniques and activities to foster sensory and motor development for their babies.

Moms of all exercise and birthing backgrounds are welcome. This class is ideal for babies 4 weeks to 5 months of age.

Each of the four classes in the series will update and adapt exercises to Mom's body.  Every class will include education, strengthening exercises for Mama and facilitated play and positioning for baby.

Class Topics:

 - Tummy Time - background information on benefits of tummy time and helpful tips to facilitate successful tummy time for typically developing infants and infants with special needs including, but not limited to, torticollis and reflux

- Postpartum Strengthening - provide simple and easy to follow exercises to heal and regain strength post baby

- Ergonomics for baby care - educate on best techniques to minimize injury and improve comfort for things like carrying car seat, lifting baby, bottle and breast feeding

- Infant Motor and Sensory Development - facilitate baby's motor milestones with helpful and stress free ideas for engaging baby play and positioning to promote optimal motor and sensory development "
