You're invited to join us to Sing and Play! This delightful forty-minute interactive music class is designed to bring children (ages 6mos thru 5) and their adults closer together through the joy of music. Through active play, we'll embark on a journey of connection, communication, and exploration of the world around us. Our play-based classes also focus on addressing ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences), co-regulation, and nurturing creative adaptation to life's daily challenges.
Instructor: Adriana Manfredi, MFA
Lifelong singer, pianist, educator, vocal pedagogue, and community music wellness specialist. She facilitates connection and community through her Sing for Hope family concert series at Viento y Agua cafe in Long Beach, CA. She is a lead liaison for moms with kids of unique needs/disabilities with the nonprofits We are Brave Together and We Love Long Beach. She has sung on dozens of feature film soundtracks including Frozen, Frozen 2, Big Hero 6, Star Wars ep. 8/9, and Encanto. In 2021 she co-founded Inspired Music Play, a group of educators and and advocates dedicated to ideas of play in music for children of all ages (focus on children ages 0-5). She has enjoyed teaching a free music wellness class called Family Sing for Urban Voices Project, and is thrilled to join The Pump Station (she has fond memories of being a Pump Station mom 18+ years ago). She lives with her two sons Giovanni and Joaquin in Long Beach, CA and in her spare time can be found playing tennis, reading, playing chess and tap dancing. Instagram
