Classes Now Offered On-line via Zoom!
Music and Mindfulness for 21st Century Families with Kira Rappaport, M.A.
Been cooped up with the kids too long? Looking for ways to burn off some of their energy so they're ready for nap time? Join us for 30 minutes so we can make some music and connect with each other. We will breathe, play drums, sing, dance, move and play! This class offers a chance to Unplug and Connect with your child(ren) and with other parents. As we sing, move and play, we will have moments to discuss how to stay connected throughout our busy days, parent self-care, and how to foster empathy and acceptance in each stage of our child's development.
From Robbins, Scarlett & Knox
Scarlett and I just wanted to pass on a quick note of thanks to Kira. We look forward to music time on Monday and Wednesday all week (so much so that my parents join on FaceTime just to watch Knox giggle).
The current climate is challenging. Kira is a ray of sunshine for our little boy (and us).
Trained as a classical flutist, Kira discovered her passion and talent for teaching while living and performing in New York City. She went on to earn a Master's Degree in Music Education with an emphasis on early childhood music. She teaches Parent and Me Music Classes, Preschool Music Classes and workshops to teachers on the use of music in the early childhood classroom. Kira has released 2 CD’s of children’s music:Beautiful Day & Sing Together, which can be found on iTunes. She regularly performs with her band, Kira Rappaport and Friends.
Kira is married with 2 daughters of her own and she is passionate about being a source of knowledge, love and music to parents of young children.
