Having a baby is a time of celebration, but it is also a time of big transitions as you try to navigate your way through the uncharted terrain of motherhood. This journey can feel even more overwhelming when you are given the news that you are expecting twins! Moms of twins are not only seeking connections with other moms, but they are seeking connections with other moms of twins who can truly understand and appreciate this unique parenting experience.
At The Pump Station, we have discovered that it is so important for new moms to have a community to come to every week where they can get information and support. Our twin class is led by Laurie Kinigstein, LCSW. Laurie is a licensed clinical social worker who not only specializes in maternal mental health and early child development but is also the mother of twins herself. She comes to you with the hard-earned personal knowledge of raising multiples.
The class is based on a mindful and conscious parenting philosophy, emphasizing how to parent with reflection, respect and connection. Our goal is for you to leave feeling confident and supported in your new role as a parent.
A new topic is presented for discussion each week, but we always include developmental play, as well as a “check-in” time to connect and ask questions.
We also provide you with weekly handouts that include the most up-to-date and current research available.
Join us and build your village! Enjoy learning from an expert and developing close relationships with other moms of twins- an invaluable experience!
