Infant massage is an ancient art practiced in many cultures and passed down through generations of mothers. Recent research confirms what grandma already knew, babies grow better and act better with nurturing touch. Come and learn about the benefits of infant massage, how to listen and communicate with your baby, and develop a loving and nurturing relationship that can last a lifetime. Although you will not learn how to do a full body massage, a few strokes for gas and fussy tummy relief will be taught during this session.
Class length: 90min.

Infant massage is a wonderful way to give your child love, security, and physical comfort. During this 4-week series you will learn special massage strokes and techniques that can help reduce gas/colic and improve sleep patterns. A gentle interaction, infant massage provides an opportunity for parents to become aware of their babies subtle cues as they listen to infant sounds and observe body movements. Research studies have shown that infant massage can reduce stress levels in both parent and child. Come join us and give your baby the lifelong benefits of nurturing touch.

You will learn how to give your little one a FULL-BODY massage over the course of these 4 sessions.

Instructor Bio:
Barbara Zimmermann, RN, BSN, IBCLC, CEIM is a pediatric registered nurse, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, and a Certified Educator of Infant Massage through IM-USA. She facilitates the Intro to Breastfeeding class and teaches infant massage classes in both Santa Monica and Hollywood locations. She and her husband relocated to California from the east coast to live closer to her three beautiful and energetic grandsons.
