We are listening..

The Pump Station was founded over 30 years ago by lactation consultants who listened to the needs of our moms. These moms were asking for better products, better breast pumps and better services. We delivered.
About 10 years ago, we listened as new mothers told us how overwhelming and isolating being a parent can be. We created our Mommy & Me program so that new moms could come together to build their village and gain the help and support that is vital during this huge transitional time in their lives.
Three years ago we responded to moms who said “I want to take you home” – we built a team of Postpartum Doulas who could support families in their home.
Many moms love to take our 40-week Mommy & Me program because it gives them a strong foundation during their first year of motherhood. But we are seeing that many moms simply aren’t able to take our classes through baby’s first year because they need to go back to work. While we offer weekend classes, this is not a one-size-fits-all solution.
We are paying attention to the mothers that want to take full advantage of their maternity leave by learning as much as possible while deepening their connections with other moms before returning to work.
Because we hear you, The Pump Station is excited to announce we are offering 2 new program offerings for Moms going back to work.
- Our first class will be a 10 week program that meets once a week for 75 minutes – focused on topics that are most important to moms during this critical time
- The 2nd class we’re offering is an intensive twice a week Mommy & Me class! In one 10-week session, moms and babies will meet twice weekly for a total of 20 classes. This means five months worth of classes in just 10 weeks, right in time to head back to work.
We invite you to take advantage of this unique opportunity to join groups with other like-minded moms. Like all of our other Parent & Me groups, these classes will be led by credentialed therapists who specialize in early child development and maternal mental health, this class is one of the best things that you can do for yourself as a new mom. You will meet other working mothers with babies the same age as yours and gain the guidance, education and friendships that all new moms need.
Based on a mindful and conscious parenting philosophy, our classes emphasize how to parent with reflection, respect and connection. Our goal is for you to leave feeling confident and supported in your new role.
Classes begin when your baby is between five-eight weeks old. A new topic is presented for discussion at each class, but every group meeting includes developmental play as well as a check-in time to connect and ask questions. We also provide you with handouts that include the most current research available. Moms develop close relationships with other moms, while babies receive their first social experience.
Want to make the most of your maternity leave? Can’t commit to a 40-week program? We listened. We’ve come up with a solution.
