Mommy & Me Feature: Caitlin Crosby, Founder of The Giving Keys!
In an effort to support our #BuildYourVillage philosophy, we are launching a brand new series highlighting individual and inspirational members of our Mommy & Me community. Today we are so excited to feature the amazing, Caitlin Crosby Benward, Founder of The Giving Keys, Mama to 20-month-old son Brave, and member of our Tuesday Toddler & Me Group!
Caitlin and Brave have been taking our Mommy & Me/Toddler & Me classes since Brave was around 2 months old! After class this week, Caitlin took time out of her super busy schedule to sit down with us and answer a few questions about her journey as a new mother and the company she launched nearly 10 years ago!
“Giving Keys is a jewelry company and lifestyle brand where we employ people that are trying to transition out of homelessness to engrave inspirational words like hope, love, faith, dream, breathe (which us mamas need to do!). The whole premise is you get the word that you need in your life and you embrace it, but then you have to pass it on to someone you feel needs it more than you, and then tell them they need to pass it on to someone that needs it more than them, so it’s a whole pay-it-forward concept. We’ve been around for about 10 years. I started making them when I was doing music full-time, and I started selling them on tour on the merchandise tables and then The Giving Keys started selling out more than my CD’s!” - Caitlin Crosby, The Giving Keys
