CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Introducing an exiting new opportunity! The Wright Mommy & Toddler Classes featuring bObles and inspired by the popular Tumblastics classes in NYC.
bObles are a revolutionary set of play pieces from Denmark which encourage toddler's curiosity, open exploration and naturally provide opportunities for physical challenges that grow with your child's development.
An incredible body of research is now pointing to how crucial what we often call child-led or imaginative play (vs the parent teaching, entertaining, leading, initiating) is to strengthen the very part of our child's brain that controls regulation (think impulse control, focused attention, frustration tolerance, follow-though), all skills that lead directly to success in academic and social settings.
Mommy and Toddler Classes include:
- Child-led, unstructured time with bObles and toys which invite open, imaginative play along with structured time for songs, story time, parachute and clean-up.
- Opportunities for moms to discuss topics focused on normal toddler issues such as conflicts over toys, social skills development, tantrums, and separation. Expert advice and modeling from class leaders who are all psychotherapists and child development specialists.
- An opportunity for moms to bond with each other and receive emotional and psychological support for their experiences.
No matter how many ways adults imagine bObles can be used, children come up with more!
We are very excited to offer you a spot in our Mommy & Toddler Classes at the Santa Monica Pump Station and Nurtury. These classes will be led by The Wright Mommy & Me class leaders.

"Upon being introduced to "bObles" our eyes were immediately intrigued. Their bright and beautiful aesthetics were very pleasing and could easily be seen fitting into the colorful and playful environment of our conductive education classrooms. After this, we began to explore their function and how they could assist in teaching movement, to children with motor impairments at a variety of ages. The versatility of the foam animals challenged our students and colleagues to explore the variety of ways, which each piece of lightweight durable "equipment" could be used. Not only did we enjoy using them, but the children found greater joy in "playing" with fun animal forms while completing tasks that were physically challenging to them.
