Parent & Toddler Play and Learn Workshop

*24-36 month group meets at 10:45am-12:15pm

This Toddler and Parent group is a unique and interactive experience that focuses on all areas of growth and development in the context of toddler play, social interaction and observation. During this class parents will discuss many pertinent topics relevant to raising healthy toddlers like: education, discipline, technology, nutrition, sleep, development and more. The toddlers will engage in group and individual discovery, play and exploration in a safe, developmentally appropriate and stimulating space, where they can exercise independence, self directed play and problem solving abilities. This class includes a variety of toddler play opportunities, including free play, gym play and interactive play. Additionally, there will be snack time, story time and music and movement time, with a facilitator and an assistant.
Dana Entinis a Parenting Educator and Consultant who has worked with parents and their children for the past 26 years. She graduated from UCLA with a Masters Degree in Nursing and obtained certifications as both a family and pediatric nurse practitioner, as well as a lactation educator. She practiced as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for over ten years, five of which were working for Dr. Harvey Karp at Pier Avenue and Tenth Street Pediatrics. In her practice she worked with patients from newborns thru adolescence.
During the past 11 years, Dana has coordinated an infant and parenting program and facilitated groups for new and experienced parents of children birth to 5 years. With a compassionate and supportive ideal, she utilizes a respectful and individualized approach in order to promote strong and trusting relationships between parents and their children. She applies her experience and research to help parents build a value-based foundation for their families. She also functions as a consultant and lecturer on a multitude of topics and issues related to parenting and family.
Dana inspires a parenting philosophy that involves a delicate balance between flexibility and setting limits. Her perspective is that healthy, aware parents in turn raise respectful, aware and responsible children. She is an advocate for parents and children alike.
