The Pump Station® and PlayCreations Kids are so excited to offer a brand new Preschool Prep Sensory, Art and Music Class at The Pump Station! This class is truly unique and exciting, each week our growing toddlers will get to engage all five of their senses as they explore new art mediums, play with unique sensory materials and of course engage in music and instrument play! The class is designed to get your little one prepared for preschool and each class is like a mini preschool day! We begin with circle time, where we dance and sing, play with instruments, explore our bodies, parachute play and more! After circle time, we go into our art or sensory project of the week! This includes activities such as exploring how to create new colors while painting your own canvas, painting a terracotta pot and doing some gardening as we explore with soil and seeds, and even making our own homemade playdough! We end each class with a group snack time and a special story! Hope you can join us for this amazing new class!

Jasmine Moradfar M.Ed earned her Bachelors in both Psychology and Sociology, as well as her Masters in Education from UCLA with and emphasis in early childhood education. After working as a preschool teacher for several years, she created her own company called Play Creations Kids, which offers multi-media mommy and me classes, in home parent consultations and preschool preparedness help. She saw there was need for even very young babies to begin their exploration of the world and themselves through sensory play. Children learn best when their five senses are being stimulated and engaging in sensory play allows new connections to be made, encourages language development and helps with self-regulation. She's created a truly unique curriculum for young children integrating sensory play, art exploration and music all in one exciting mommy and me class! Join us for some fun and messy play!
